Storm Project

The Storm Project covers 62km2 (10.2km x 6.1km) within EL9028 and EL9089, located approximately 2km south of Batlow, NSW. The project encompasses five key prospects: Storm Break, Squall, Hail, Thunder, Lightning and Snowstorm.

Key highlights

  • Historical Significance: Gold was first discovered at Tumbarumba Creek in 1855, located on the western side of the Storm Project. Extensive historical mining followed, including dredging operations that produced over 119,000 oz of gold from alluvial deposits.
  • Limited Modern Exploration: Despite its rich history, the area has seen minimal modern exploration for epithermal, porphyry, and IRG-style gold-copper systems, with no modern exploration drilling completed to date.
  • Surface Geochemistry: Geological mapping has confirmed surface alteration assemblages including potassic, phyllic, propylitic and argillic alteration. Company-led rock chip sampling returned values up to 1.1 g/t Au, associated with phyllic alteration extensively mapped at the Storm Break prospect.
  • Geophysical Targets: A recent mMT geophysical survey has delineated 26 anomalies, providing multiple targets for systematic follow-up exploration.
